Progressive Education

Progressive education is the dominant philosophy in today’s public-district schools, and in some public-charter, and private schools. In contrast with Classical Education, with its focus on academic preparation and support of strong families, the main goal of progressive education may be summed up by self-described social engineer John Goodlad: “Enculturate the Young into a Social and Political Democracy.”

Our schools have quietly becoming active proponents of the humanist world-view and the socialist/collectivist political philosophies. For example, progressive educators in schools and on college campuses across the country are working hard to:

  1. Promote social and political agendas over academic excellence.
  2. Teach moral relativism/humanism
  3. Enculturate” students into a social democracy, and a UN-inspired worldview.
  4. Undermine family values, and the influence of parents.

One of the purposes of this Web site is to increase awareness of what is happening, so that parents can make a difference in their own communities, fortify their own families, and make informed choices as they raise and educate their own children.
